All volunteers must complete the online volunteer documentarion as well as obtain or provide clearances dated within the past 5 years. Youth Sports Coaches- Facilitate practices and games while providing a safe environment for youth to learn, grow, and develop through various sports. Attend coaches’ meetings, training and related functions. Contact all team members and inform them of practice times and dates as well as pass out materials to parents when necessary. Youth Sports Referees - Keep time for the duration of the game and keep games on schedule. "Control" games by enforcing the rules and making calls using best discretion. Interact with coaches, players and spectators in a professional manner. Scorekeepers - Run the scoreboard and keep track of stats on scoresheets for our PLAY Youth Competitive Basketball League. Assure only players on the roster are on the bench and participating and that coaches sign in and only cleared coaches are on the team sideline. Lead the intro to the game with prayer, highlighting rules. Actively pay attention to the game in order to keep track of player points, team points, player fouls, team fouls and possession on the scoreboard and the scoresheets. Assist the game officials with maintaining the flow and control of the game.
